Hello, I'm Valerie.
I'm a mother of five, a woman of faith, an entrepreneur, a writer, and someone who believes that every season of life carries both purpose and opportunity.
What shapes me
Motherhood has been one of the greatest blessings and most meaningful responsibilities of my life. Raising five children has taught me more about patience, perseverance, unconditional love, and the grace of God than any other experience ever could. Our home is full of personalities, laughter, lessons, and the beautiful chaos that comes with a large family.
My faith is the foundation of everything I do. It shapes how I raise my children, approach my work, engage with my community, and navigate life’s unexpected challenges. I’ve learned that God’s faithfulness doesn’t mean life will always be easy. It means we never walk through those difficult seasons alone.
I’m also a writer at heart. I love the power of words to encourage, challenge, inspire, and connect us. Whether I’m writing about Scripture, motherhood, the issues affecting our communities, or the stories that live in my imagination, writing has become another way for me to share what God has placed upon my heart.
I’m still learning, still growing, and still discovering what God has planned for the next chapter.
Work & everyday life
I've spent years involved in education, community engagement, advocacy, organizational development, and public policy. Those experiences eventually led me into entrepreneurship, where I've had the opportunity to bring together my passion for people, strategic thinking, and helping others pursue meaningful goals.
Some days you'll find me working on a new business idea, meeting with community leaders, or writing about an issue I care deeply about. Other days, I'm helping with schoolwork, spending time with my children, studying Scripture, or simply enjoying the little moments that make life beautiful.
My hope is that this space offers a little encouragement, a little inspiration, and perhaps a reminder that our lives can be filled with many different callings, all woven together with purpose.
